The Transport, Post & Logistics industry showed the steepest growth in the July 2006 Monster Employment Index. This growth for qualified logistics staff has been significant in The Netherlands and Germany. According to Monster the logistics sector is one of the most important ones to the German Industry.

"Unfortunately most vacancies in, for instance, The Netherlands are difficult to fill due to a general shortage of qualified logistics and supply chain professionals", according to Monster.

Edwin Tuyn Biography:

Since 1990 Edwin Tuyn is active in the logistics industry after he has been traveling all over the world as a nautical deck-officer. During the last 15 years he held various positions in European road transport as transport manager, as European logistics manager for a US Based multi national, as operations director with a major security transport/logistics company and as senior consultant and interim manager.
Edwin is a frequent key-note speaker and chairman at logistics conferences in Europe, US and China. He is well-recognized as a writer of various columns and articles on topics like logistics services providers, leadership and the human factor in supply chains.

Edwin has an extensive experience in guiding and facilitating outsourcing programs, change projects, business chain design and complex supply chain projects. At this moment Edwin is active as Executive Search Consultant for Logistics Recruitment, an international operating and specialized in logistics and supply chain professionals search and selection organization with own offices in Australia, the Middle East, China and Europe. Edwin is also a well experienced trainer/coach for leadership development and business coach for logistics managers and supply chain directors.

Edwin has a MBA degree from Kingston University (London) / Haarlem Business School and is certified by APICS as CPIM. Further is a member of vereniging Logistiek Management, APICS and many other business societies.
