| Bas Burger is responsible for BT’s business with multinational customers active in the manufacturing, logistics and pharmaceutical sectors, reporting to BT Global Services CEO. Prior to this role he was Chief Executive Officer, BT Benelux. In that role, he transformed operations, improving both our performance and the service delivered to BT Global Services customers in the region.
He joined BT in 2008 from Getronics N.V. where he was Executive Vice President responsible for global sales, channel and partner management and international business support and development. He was also a member of the company’s management committee.
Bas started his career in the U.K. at Fifth Generation Systems Ltd, a supplier of utility software, where he was Sales & Marketing Manager – Europe until the company merged with Symantec in 1993.
In 1994, Bas joined KPN (PTT Telecom) as the global account manager responsible for the company’s business with brewer Heineken. He held various sales and senior management positions with the company, eventually being appointed CEO and Managing Director of KPN Entercom Solutions B.V., which he helped restructure into a healthy enterprise division. From 2001 until he joined Getronics N.V. in 2006, he was also a member of the supervisory board of KPN Lease B.V.
Born in The Netherlands, Bas gained his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Bradford (U.K.) and his Bachelor of Business Administration from the Hogeschool Utrecht (The Netherlands). He also studied in the United States, where he completed his senior high school year at Bremerton, WA.
Bas is married and has two children. |
