... Respondents to a recent 3PL survey were asked what they think are the key concerns cited by shippers when they assess outsourcing to a 3PL provider. 77% believed the key concern to be "loss of control". Yet, according to the results of a 3PL users' survey, only 28% of shippers see this as a barrier to logistics outsourcing and instead, it's "perceived service issues" and "perceived higher costs" that dissuade more than 34%.

The surveys also highlighted the retail sector for vertical industry growth potential, while in terms of geographical expansions China (37%), North America (31%) and India (24%) are considered top regions. Plus, 93% of the survey respondents still see considerable growth opportunities in the provision of technology and IT solutions. Find out more trends in the new reports!
