Author, educator and business consultant Kate Vitasek is a internationally recognized innovator in the practice of supply chain management and outsourcing.  She is the founder, faculty and lead researcher in the concept of vested (also known as vested outsourcing), which was developed in conjunction with the University of Tennessee. She is the creator and author of an upcoming book series on vested for Palgrave Macmillanand author of Vested Outsourcing: Five Rules that will Transform Outsourcing. 

Vitasek’s approaches and insights have been widely published. She is the co-author of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals’ best selling minibook series, Supply Chain Process Standards, and has contributed to other management books as well. Vitasek has written more than 150articles that have been published in respected academic and trade journals, including the Journal of Business Logistics, Forbes, Chief Executive Magazine, Supply Chain Management Review, Inside Supply Management, Aviation Week, Distribution Business Management Journal,  World Trade Magazine, Supply Chain Quarterly, and Outsourced Logistics.   Vitasek also hosts expert insight blogs for DC Velocity Magazine and the Outsourcing Institute.

The Journal of Commerce recently recognized Vitasek as a “Woman on the Move in Trade and Transportation” for her leadership in the profession, and DC Velocity Magazine dubbed her a “Rainmaker” for her efforts in helping to build the logistics and supply chain profession.  Logistics Quarterly and Supply Chain Digest have both honored her as a “Woman in Supply Chain”  and she was honored as a “Woman of International Influence” by Global Executive Women.  She has also served on the Board of Directors for the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals.

Vitasek’s storied career includes positions with P&G, Microsoft, Kroger, Accenture and Stream International.  She is also the Founder of Supply Chain Visions – a boutique consulting firm recognized by ARC Advisory Group as a Top 10 BoutiqueConsulting firm specializing in Supply Chain Management.  . 

Vitasek graduated summa cum laude from the University of Tennessee with an MBA in logistics.   She also holds a B.S in Marketing and was the Top Graduate in her class.

Mark’s distinguished international track record in Supply Chain and Logistics includes 15 years in the Asia Pacific region, where he has led business development initiatives across ten Asian countries.

Living in greater China for the last ten years, he is renowned for his knowledge of the China logistics sector and whilst living in Shanghai served as the Honorary Chairman of the China Supply Chain Council. Mark currently serves on the Advisory Board for the India Supply Chain Management Summit in New Delhi and as Head of International Relations for Vietnam Supply Chain in Ho Chi Minh City.

In addition to regular visits to India and Vietnam, Mark participates in logistics and supply chain events throughout Asia’s developing and emerging markets ‐ including South Korea, Singapore, China, Hong Kong, Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines and Indonesia.

Acknowledged as an industry thought leader, clients have engaged Mark as Speaker, Moderator, MC or Conference Chairman at more than 200 Logistics and Supply Chain events in 19 countries. His articles on global supply chain trends and logistics industry developments are regularly published in five languages.

Mark is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD) and a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transportation (FCILT). He achieved an MBA with Distinction from the University of the West of England, is a Graduate of the UK Chartered Institute of Marketing and holds a post graduate Diploma in Management Studies.

He has lived and worked in the UK, the Netherlands, Australia, Singapore, USA, Ireland, mainland China and Hong Kong. Whilst with the Thorn EMI group in the UK, Mark’s international sales leadership earned Thorn Secure Science the “Queen’s Award for Exports”.

Art van Bodegraven brings 40 years of consulting experience to the table, first with Coopers & Lybrand Consulting(now IBM) and more recently at The Progress Group. Retired from both C&L and TPG, he has re-opened his independent consultancy in order to continue the client and collegial relationships developed over the years.

Although Art's consulting assignments have spanned many disparate functions in several industries, his later work has been concentrated in supply chain logistics, from strategies to nuts and bolts operations.

Art van Bodegraven has delivered subject matter sessions in various short courses at Georgia Tech's The Logistics Institute for over a dozen years. He has co-produced the Supply Chain Short Course, in a collaborative effort to design the curriculum, and secure nationally-know speakers.

He is active in local supply chain and logistics organizations, as well, including CSCMP's Columbus Roundtable, WERCouncil, the Columbus Region Logistics Council (a Chamber of Commerce Initiative), and the Columbus Logistics Breakfast Club.

Abe Eshkenazi currently serves as the chief executive officer for APICS The Association for Operations Management. Prior to joining APICS, Eshkenazi was the managing director for the Operations Consulting Group of American Express Tax and Business Services.

Eshkenazi has provided business, operational, and compliance consulting services to professional service organizations, associations, and tax-exempt and government organizations. His leadership role included project management, business process redesign, and individual and organizational alignment; including design and implementation of outsource strategies. Eshkenazi has been a frequent speaker on outsourcing, nonprofit mergers, and strategic alliances.

In addition to his CPA, Eshkenazi holds a master of business administration in management from Northwestern University, Kellogg Graduate School of Management; a master of business administration in finance from DePaul University; and a bachelor’s degree from Northeastern Illinois University. Eshkenazi is also an APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), a Certified Healthcare Executive (CHE), and a Certified Association Executive (CAE).
