As Starbucks senior vice president, EMEA supply chain operations, Greg Javor is responsible for assured supply, information flow, and physical goods movements at every Starbucks store and customer in the EMEA region. Greg and his team work to ensure the EMEA supply chain is dynamic and responsive to rapidly changing market conditions including bringing new products to market with competitive advantage.
Greg's background includes leading customer service and supply chain efforts with 3PL, specialty retail, discount retail, and consumer goods industries. He started his career with USCO Distribution Services, a nationwide 3PL, where he spent 10 years in increasingly responsible operations and sales roles. He then worked for May Department Stores and Ventures Stores Inc. and spent 10 years as head of Retail Supply Chain. Greg then joined ICI Paints, a global chemical company, where he spent 10 years as head of North America customer service and logistics with ICI's architectural and industrial paints business. |

Joel has over 18 years of experience in Logistics and Supply Chain. As Category Manager for Abbott Laboratories, he leads and collaborates with his company's nine divisions on the Strategic Sourcing of Supply Chain services, including warehousing, air, ocean and many other areas of logistics.
With 35 years of service, Joel has held many divergent careers within his tenure with Abbott. This includes 15 years in Packaging Engineering and various manufacturing and quality roles. While in each of these roles, he has been recognized by his company for designing and executing innovative solutions resulting in significant process and cost improvements. Joel holds a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Texas in Austin. |

Rich Sherman is an internationally recognized pundit and author on trends and issues across supply chain management. He currently serves as Supply Chain Discipline Expert at Trissiential co-leading their supply chain consulting practice. His book Supply Chain Transformation: Practical Roadmap for Best Practice Results (Wiley, 2012) has received praise by practitioners, academics, and non-supply chain executives as a great read on business transformation. As a research director, he successfully launched the supply chain advisory services for AMR Research and led in the development the SCOR model, founding the Supply Chain Council, and serving on its Board.
Mr. Sherman has served on the working committees for several industry initiatives including DAMA/Quick Response, Efficient Consumer Response (ECR), and Collaborative Planning, Forecasting, and Replenishment (CPFR). Throughout his career, Mr. Sherman has held senior management positions with visionary technology firms such as EXE, Syncra, and Numetrix, and marketing leading corporations such as Microsoft, Information Resources (IRI), Mercer Management Consulting, Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC), and Unisys. He has contributed scores of articles and speaks frequently on supply chain capabilities. Rich received his BA and MA from Notre Dame. |

Evan has over 20 years of experience in supply chain management. Art is the President of Van Bodegraven Associates, the Columbus-based supply chain and logistics and Supply Chain Management consultancy. He is also Logistics Practice Leader for S4 Consulting, the relationship management specialists. Art works extensively with the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) as development executive, responsible for curriculum and faculty development for public workshop programs. He is a veteran of several years of eft events.
In the past, Art spent fifteen years as a Partner in The Progress Group, LLC, the Atlanta-based Supply Chain Logistics consultancy, where he was variously: Chief Marketing Officer, Executive Vice President, and Supply Chain Practice Leader. Previously, he concluded his 25-year Coopers & Lybrand as Managing Director in the Consumer Products Consulting practice (now IBM).

Ken has been active in logistics and warehousing management for his entire career. Before entering the consulting field, he was chief executive of Distribution Centers, Inc., a public warehousing company which is now part of Exel Logistics USA. In 1980, Ackerman sold the company and joined the management consulting division of Coopers & Lybrand. In 1981, he formed the Ackerman Company, a management advisory service.
Ken Ackerman is editor and publisher of Warehousing Forum, a monthly subscription newsletter. His newest books are Lean Warehousing and Fundamentals of Supply Chain Management, both published in 2007. His other recent publications include Auditing Warehouse Performance and Warehousing Tips.
Ken has provided management advisory services to companies throughout the world. These clients include manufacturers, wholesale distributors, retailers, warehousing firms, carriers and trade associations. He has provided advisory support to several consulting firms. |
